After a great deal of contemplation I have managed to compile a shortlist of the most viable reasons for carrying out this act of origami.
- To ensure that visitors unfamiliar with the concept of bog rolls know to pull the paper downwards, as indicated by the handy arrow.
- To assist in the cleaning of the butt crack, the pointy shape allowing deeper cleaning of those hard-to-get-at crevices.
- For the maids to have fun to see what guests are sad enough to put the fold back in after undertaking the act of removing any dangleberries.

...and all this time I was calling them dingleberries. Thank you for setting me straight.
I can now address those little things with the proper terminology.
The point is there in the event you want to make a hat to keep yourself busy. The maids were kind enough to do most of the work for you.

The point is there in case you want to make a hat to keep yourself busy. The maids have gone through the trouble of doing most of the work for you.
Also - is it dangleberries or dingleberries? I always thought it was the former. If it's the latter, then I'm really embarrassed, because I kept saying "dingleberries" during dinner conversation the other night.

Moooooog35 seems to have a stutter problem but he is right with the hat idea, or is it only me that does that?
